The Challenge: Elevating the Classic Chicken Shop

Zest set out to redefine the traditional chargrill chicken experience by focusing on high-quality ingredients and contemporary flavours. The challenge was to create a brand identity that felt “fire-forged” and rustic, yet clean and modern enough to appeal to a sophisticated urban market.

The founder required a design partner who could translate the warmth and aroma of the chargrill into a physical brand—ensuring the “Zest” name felt associated with bold seasoning and culinary expertise. This identity needed to be applied across every touchpoint, from the street-front signage to the menus handled by every customer.

The Solution: A Warm, Texture-Driven Brand Experience

The Endless Coconut acted as the creative lead, ensuring that Zest’s identity felt as authentic and “seasoned” as their menu.

  • Bold and Grounded Logo Design: We designed a custom logo that balances modern typography with a sturdy, authoritative feel. The visual weight of the mark was intentionally chosen to reflect the “solid” nature of the chargrill concept, providing immediate professional credibility.
  • Appetite-Driven Menu Design: In a high-volume restaurant, the menu must be both beautiful and highly functional. We designed a layout that prioritises clear price-points and “crave-worthy” descriptions, using brand accents that evoke the heat and smoke of the grill.
  • High-Impact Store Signage: We translated the brand identity into large-format physical signage. From the primary shopfront sign to internal branding elements, we ensured the “Zest” vibe was prominent, acting as a beacon for hungry customers.
  • Tactile Promotional Flyers: To drive local engagement, we designed promotional flyers that focused on visual impact. By using bold layouts and the brand’s warm palette, we created assets that feel professional and enticing, perfectly introducing the chargrill concept to the local community.

In the hospitality world, especially within the rotisserie and chargrill niche, the brand must trigger a “sensory” response. By handling the logo and all physical collateral, we provided the founder with the “ease and relief” of a unified brand ecosystem that looks as good as the food tastes.
